The more I exist, the more I realize I don’t want to.

Visualizing the different dimensions of reality.

Here’s one way to visualize it -

Imagine you’re sorting through your closet. You decide to map out all your possible clothing combinations. There are 4 different types of clothing: Pants, Shirt, shoes, hats.

First you put pants on the graph. Since it’s just pants, you only need a straight line, with every point representing a different pair of pants.

To go into the second dimension, you’ll add shirts to the graph. To do this, take that line, and copy-paste it for every shirt you have. This should now look like a 2 dimensional plane, or a grid. For every line you just copy-pasted, you’ll assign a shirt. This will map out all your DIFFERENT combinations between pants and shirts. 2nd dimensional plane.

Third dimension, the cube, now shoes. All you do is take that entire grid (plane) you just made, and again, copy-paste it for every pair of shoes you have. This should now look like a gridded cube (a big cube comprised of smaller cubes, the smaller cubes each representing a different combination). For every plane, you’ll plug in a different pair of shoes. You should know see every possible combination of shoes, shirts, and pants represented.

Fourth dimension: If you have noticed, there’s a pattern. For this dimension, hats, we take the entire cube we just made, and copy-paste it for every hat we have. Plug in the hats to each cube, and you now how a complete list of all possible clothing combinations. You also now have the best visual of the 4th dimension out there. Of course, being 3 dimensional beings, this is still only a 3d representation. But the fourth dimension is time, or more specifically, duration. So every cube, represents a different moment in time. In an animation, every cube would be a different individual frame of the entire animation.

If you wanted to map out more clothing options, you can continue the copy-paste method, but your visuals will only ever be a repeat of the first three dimensions. If you noticed at the fourth dimension, all the cubes are essentially just a line, or a repeat of the 1st dimension. Going into the 5th dimension, same method, you have a plane again, and 6th dimension would make another cube.

Let’s talk about our existence now that you can visualize the 4th dimension. We are 3 dimensional beings and can only perceive things in the second dimension. You might argue we can see in three dimensions because you can visualize depth, but the images sent to our brain are still composited as 2 dimensional images. A 2 dimensional being would only be capable of seeing in the first dimension. What about the 4th dimension? Well, for an entity to EXIST in the 4th dimension, their physical form would be able to traverse time, but only to the limits of what they’ve done. Meaning if they choose to exist in a moment 5 minutes ago, they could only exist in the place they were at originally at that time. In other words: If you went back in time, you were only able to reinhabit your body from that time, and you wouldn’t be able to change anything you’ve already done. Beings in the fourth dimension can perceive things in the third dimension. Meaning if they looked at a chair, they could see the all sides of the chair simultaneously, as opposed to our existence, where we can’t see through objects.

Then there’s the fifth dimensional being. The fifth dimension, following our copy paste theory, is best represented as the multiverse theory. Every possible choice in life represents a different timeline. Someone existing in the 5th dimension could exist anywhere at any point in time they wish. They would perceive the world in terms of individual timelines.

Now a 6th dimensional being. The only step up from here is God-hood. Someone from this dimension would have complete control over time, space, and matter. At this point there’s no physical representation of this. So I can’t describe it visually other than if you followed the copy-paste method, you’d have a giant cube comprised of smaller cubes from the 3rd dimension. The fifth dimension is verbally explained as being matter, and every possible state that matter could be in. So in other words, where we might see a chair, someone in the 6th dimension would perceive as every object in the universe, and could exist in whatever version of reality they want, in any point of time they want, at any physical form they want.

The sixth dimension is just God.
